The CourseCat Unified School District is a small, fictitious school district located somewhere in California, USA. The CCUSD has two high schools, CourseCat High School and SmartyCat High School.
The district's course inventory consists of 121 courses covering most major study areas. CourseCat High offers 112 of those courses and SmartyCat High offers 115.
The school district has been focusing on Pathways and Concentrations. Where the Pathway is a general career area and the Concentration is a specific career within the Pathway. CourseCat school district wanted their students to be able to view which courses were available for each Pathway and Concentration. That capability is included in the Sample Online Catalog.
Additionally, the district wanted their students to be able to view the courses which are approved courses for the University of California system. That capability is also included in the catalog.
Of course, the courses may be viewed by Department as well. CourseCat offers every school the opportunity to choose the way the courses are presented to their students.
